Robert Murphy is a partner with the Firm representing businesses and individuals on complex business and real estate matters. Robert is regularly consulted by his clients for assistance on strategic planning, initiative implementation and leadership transitions.
He regularly counsels with business leaders, CFOs, operations managers and other key organization leaders of his clients. He functions as outside general counsel to several clients and serves as an outside director to several closely held companies. Robert regularly collaborates with multifaceted business teams from sales, procurement, finance, operations and compliance groups to help design and execute business strategies to identify and mitigate relevant legal, business and operational risks. He has extensive experience negotiating agreements covering outsourcing, product sales, software licensing, service engagements, commercial construction and commercial, industrial and retail leasing.
Robert is an active member of the firm’s operations team, serving as the President of the Firm’s title company, American Title Associates Agency, Inc., chairing the Firm’s associate development efforts and summer associate program. He is very active in the community and currently serves as the Chairman of the Pike Township Zoning Commission and Chairman of the Central Catholic High School Board of Directors. Robert is also currently a member of the Board of Directors/ Trustees of both Arts in Stark and the Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges (OFIC). He is a graduate of Leadership Stark County and past recipient of the Ystark! 20 under 40 award. Robert is a native of Canton and a graduate of Central Catholic High School. He is a member of the Stark County and Ohio Bar Associations. He also holds a certification as a LEED Accredited Professional (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) in New Construction by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI).
