Robert Murphy is a partner with Black McCuskey and focuses his practice in Corporate and Real Estate transactions. He represents small, mid-size and large companies in the areas of negotiation and documentation of Business transactions and Real Estate Acquisition, Development and Construction. He also represents oil producers, lease holders & landowners in oil & gas matters, including Utica shale projects.
Robert has worked extensively on outsourcing and technology agreements, representing both service providers and purchasing groups. He has worked with clients ranging in size from publicly traded industry leading corporations to single member entities and individuals on a broad range of corporate transactions and real estate projects. Some notable projects in which Robert has been able to assist clients with meeting their strategic goals include:
• Counseling clients on the acquisition and development of new offices, manufacturing facilities and corporate HQ sites (including land acquisition, zoning, financing & construction related matters);
• negotiating core technology outsourcing relationships that effectively provide for service innovations and performance accountability;
• working with residential and commercial developers to help identify key concepts in the planning, design and implementation portions of projects to produce cost-effective solutions to development concerns.
Robert serves as Co-Chair of the firm's Real Estate Practice Group, is a graduate of Leadership Stark County and Chairman of the Pike Township Zoning Commission. In 2010, he was selected as one of 20 outstanding leaders under the age of 40 in the greater Canton area. Robert is a native of Canton and a graduate of Central Catholic High School. He is a past Chairman of the executive committee for ystark! (the network for young professionals in the greater Canton Area) and Chairman of the Central Catholic Board of Directors. He is a member of the Stark County and Ohio Bar Associations.
