Michelle Schuld is an associate with the firm and focuses her practice in the areas of real estate, business law, commercial transactions, and estate planning.
Her areas of practice include:
Real Estate: Michelle is a licensed title agent and she has experience in handling a variety of real estate matters including advising individuals and businesses with buying and selling real estate; drafting and negotiating commercial leases; working with property owners on eminent domain matters; representing property owners before boards of revision on real estate tax disputes; and oil & gas matters, including leases and title issues.
Business and Commercial: Michelle regularly works with businesses to review and negotiate commercial contracts including outsourcing agreements for services and equipment; confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements; operating agreements; buy-sell agreements, and financing documents.
Estate Planning and Probate: Michelle assists families to meet personal and business needs through estate planning, Medicaid planning and business succession planning. She also advises clients regarding probate administration.
Michelle is active in the community and currently serves on the Boards of Directors for Pathway Caring for Children, and The Early Childhood Resource Center. She is a graduate of the 23rd Class of Leadership Stark County and currently serves this program as a member of the Justice Day Committee. In addition, Michelle is a member of the Women’s Initiative, serving as President of the Board for 2011-2012 and the Canton Chapter Representative for the Akron Law Alumni Association. She has been named a Rising Star for 2012 by Ohio Super Lawyers magazine. No more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected and candidates must be either 40 years or younger, or in practice ten years or less.
