Terry Kessler joined Black McCuskey in 1975 following his graduation from The Ohio State University College of Law. Terry’s practice focuses on small business and transactional matters, oil and gas development financing, estate planning, and state and federal taxation.

A political science major and varsity football player, Terry graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Terry has been a lecturer at the Ohio Legal Center Institute on the topic of “Basic Taxation” and has been active with the Stark County Bar Association since joining the firm. He is a past President of the Association (1994 - 1995) and has served on and chaired the Grievance and Executive Committees. Terry is recognized by his peers as one of the preeminent lawyers in his field, having received an AV® PreeminentTM Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell*.

In addition to his involvement with the Bar Association, Terry is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sisters of Charity Health System, Past President of the United Way of Central Stark County and Past President of the Catholic Charities Advisory Board of the Diocese of Youngstown.
