Tim Fox is an associate with Black McCuskey Souers & Arbaugh, LPA and focuses his practice in the areas of civil litigation, collections, real estate, and family law. Before joining Black McCuskey, Tim was a judicial extern for the Honorable Herman J. Weber of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and a law clerk for the Cincinnati law firm of Montgomery, Rennie, and Jonson.
A graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Law, Tim is well known for his problem-solving skills. Whether it involves assisting a landlord with a cantankerous tenant, counseling a business owner regarding escalating receivables, or litigating a business agreement run afoul, Tim determines what went wrong, what must happen to make things right, and the best course of action to achieve that goal, all with an eye towards cost benefits.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Tim enjoyed a 21-year military career as a systems analyst for the United States Air Force where he retired at the highest enlisted rank, Chief Master Sergeant. During that time, Tim honed his analytical and problem-solving skills as the lead analyst for cutting edge research and development test centers at the Air Force Research Laboratory in Massachusetts and 46th Test Wing evaluation center for Air Force air-delivered weapons, navigation and guidance systems. He has received numerous decorations for his leadership and commitment to the local community.
Tim is a Councilman for the city of North Canton, Vice President of the Tuscarawas County Bar Association, a former board member of the Tuscarawas County Law Library, and is a member of the Ohio State and Stark County Bar Associations. He is a member of North Canton’s Chamber of Commerce, a board member of North Canton Business Network International, a member of the United States Air Force Chief’s Group, the Pet Welfare Animal Shelter, and a former board member of the Rotary Club of Canton. In addition, Tim volunteers his time to the Southeastern Ohio Legal Services organization, which provides legal services, without attorney fees, to people with low income and limited savings. He is also an active volunteer for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Stark and Carroll Counties.
A graduate of Dover High School, Tim currently resides in North Canton with his wife, Malissa, and their yellow Labrador Retriever, Bean. When not practicing law, Tim is an avid (yet poor) golfer, and enjoys long-distance running.
