Black McCuskey Creates Ice Cream Flavor to Support Early Childhood Resource Center
(July 2011) - Black McCuskey was one of four companies to sponsor an ice cream booth at July’s First Friday event in downtown Canton. The sponsorship supported The Early Childhood Resource Center. Each company created its own ice cream flavor and was part of a friendly competition to be voted "best flavor." Milk & Honey made the ice cream and donated it for the event. Each team served their ice cream at their booth from 6 to 9 p.m.
In fact, the Black McCuskey team was there to defend the 2010 title. Black McCuskey won last year’s competition with a flavor called “McCuskey’s Masterpiece.” Milk & Honey says it is so popular that they continue to serve it to their customers.
This year’s flavor was called "McCuskey's Marshmallow Madness…The evidence is in the taste!" It consisted of chocolate ice cream, marshmallow swirls, Reese's cups and brownie pieces. Everyone who visited the ice cream social fundraiser was asked to vote on their favorite flavor. After all of the votes were tallied, Black McCuskey was announced the 2011 winner! Milk & Honey featured the flavor during the month of July.
