Michelle Molinet Joins Black McCuskey
Black McCuskey is pleased to announce that Michelle L. Molinet, CPA, has joined the firm as Director of Finance and Administration. She brings 18 years of public accounting and management experience to Black McCuskey. Randy Snow, managing partner, states, “Michelle brings to Black McCuskey the background and clear understanding of how a professional services firm operates. She has been a very positive asset to the firm.” Michelle is responsible for the financial and human resource initiatives for the firm.
Prior to joining Black McCuskey, she most recently held the position of senior manager for the public accounting firm of Bober, Markey, Fedorovich & Company. Michelle was co-chair of the firm’s construction services practice group and has extensive background in serving privately held construction companies. Some of the consulting services she performed for her clients included cash flow analysis, productivity reviews, internal control and job costing systems reviews, assistance for financially-troubled contractors, post-project reviews and best practice consulting. During that time, Michelle obtained the CIT (Construction Industry Technician) and CDS (Construction Document Specialist) certifications, both through the National Association of Women in Construction and Clemson University, demonstrating her commitment to advising her construction clients, and to speak the language of their industry.
The CIT certification acknowledges an understanding of the construction industry, including types of construction, contractual agreements, construction contract documents, the construction process, insurance and bonding. In addition, the CDS, an advanced certification, acknowledges an understanding of the project construction documents necessary to prepare an estimate for submitting a bid and to prepare a project schedule for controlling costs after the contract is awarded. With her background in the construction industry and accounting, she is an internal resource for both Black McCuskey attorneys and firm clients.
Additionally, Michelle is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants. Committed to the community, she is the treasurer and finance committee chair for Habitat of Humanity of Summit County. She also served as a volunteer for United Way, Harvest for Hunger and the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
