Attorney Ray Meiers of the Black McCuskey Intellectual Property Group recently participated in the 6th Annual Entrepreneurship Forum at Northwest State Community College in Archbold, Ohio. The Entrepreneurship Forum provides budding entrepreneurs the opportunity to present their ideas to a panel of experts from the region and to network with those experts. Ray served as a panelist with college faculty, bankers, chamber of commerce and economic development directors, and the local representative of the Small Business Administration.
“Small business is so important to local community development and growth. Quite simply, it is the backbone of our economy,” said Lisa Becher, business faculty at Northwest State and the State of Ohio Small Business Development Center Consultant.
Ten teams and individuals made presentations and two received awards. The winners included a team developing smart sensor technology for manufacturing environments and also a team developing a home furnishing business.
