Dan Schlue is a partner with Black McCuskey and focuses his practice in the area of Intellectual Property, both U.S. and foreign. He has extensive experience in patent, copyright and trademark matters. In addition, he has experience in matters including licensing preparation and counseling, contract preparations and review, opinion preparation, intellectual property dispute resolutions, and intellectual property business counseling.
His global representation includes patent and trademark prosecution in the United States and argument preparation for international patent and trademark prosecution in China, Korea, Japan, Germany, England, Austria, Ireland, Spain, France, Australia and Canada. The various types of technology that Dan has worked with include polymers, organic chemistry compositions and methods, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, cementitious compositions and methods, software, mechanical engineering devices, aerospace technologies, tire manufacturing, thermal insulation materials business methods, heating technologies, and compositions relating to health care.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Dan was a process chemist for A. Schulman, Inc. He is an active member of the Ohio, Akron and Stark County Bar Associations and the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
