A Partner of Black McCuskey, Bruce has over 40 years of legal experience in handling complex, multi-faceted commercial and corporate transactional matters for Fortune 500 companies, commercial real estate development companies, health care facilities, energy-related businesses and financial institutions. He regularly negotiates contracts for business development and expansion projects involving land acquisition, lending, tax abatements and incentives, zoning variances, construction oversight and outsourcing of equipment and services throughout the United States. Bruce has successfully negotiated lease agreements in most major international markets. Private equity investors, closely-held businesses and entrepreneurs counsel with Bruce to evaluate the risks and strategies associated with asset and stock acquisitions, and contract development for all phases of residential and commercial real estate projects.

Bruce served as the firm's Managing Partner for eleven years. A member of the Stark County and Ohio State Bar Associations, he has been admitted to practice in both the State of Ohio and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Bruce has also been invited to become a Fellow of the Ohio State Bar Foundation, Class of 1998. He is recognized by his peers as one of the preeminent lawyers in his field, having received an AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell* and for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© for 2023.  In addition, he has been recognized as an Ohio Super Lawyer for 2024.
