Patrick M. Dunn and Ryan C. Robinson Become Full-Time Attorneys

Black McCuskey is pleased to announce that Patrick M. Dunn and Ryan C. Robinson are now full-time Associate Attorneys after successfully passing the Ohio State Bar exam.

Patrick focuses his practice in Intellectual Property and Patents. A graduate of the University of Akron School of Law, he received the CALI Award of Excellence for LARW II and Patent Office Litigation.  While attending law school, Patrick worked as a patent agent for several companies/firms from 2015 through 2018, prosecuting utility and design patents and conducting prior art searches.  Prior to law school, he had an extensive engineering career that primarily related to liquid crystal display technology and associated electronics and semiconductors.  Patrick is experienced in patent licensing and is a named inventor on nine U.S. patents.

Ryan focuses his practices in the areas of business, litigation, real estate, and labor & employment law. A cum laude graduate of the University of Akron School of Law, he served as the Executive Treasurer and Acting President of the Akron Law Student Bar Association.  Ryan also served as an Assistant Editor and Production Editor for the Akron Law Review.  He received CALI Excellence Awards for the highest “A” in Legal Analysis, Research, and Writing, and Constitutional Law. Ryan was the first inaugural recipient of the Russel M. Pry Endowed Memorial Scholarship, a scholarship honoring the beloved Summit County Executive, Russel M. Pry.  To close out his time at Akron Law, he was awarded the Alumni Association’s Outstanding Student Leader of the Year Award.
